Only the Plus version includes the Report Generator.

It depends on what you want. I bought the phpMagic Plus but end up not using the report generator.

Within phpMagic, you can print to csv. Then you can open the csv file with Microsoft Excel and further edit it before printing out. This way you have much better integration with your software. You can select all the records by filter, then print to a csv file, then print out the data via Excel.

The print to csv function is disabled by default. To enable it, tick "Allow saving data to CSV files" from the table properties in phpMagic. The you can find an icon "SAVE CSV" next to "FILTER", just above the table view.

Hope this helps.
