I get through the setup and at step 8, it will not proceed. I've check the permissions at 777 and still nothing. Any suggestions?

Try chmod 666.

Eh, chmodded everything to 777, I can get it to work but I have to manually go to step 9... kinda gay

I have not experienced this issue. Maybe check your brower settings. I'm using IE 7.

I also got hung up there. I created a new style by copying one of the others and named it test. Now I can continue to generate report and stuck there with a http500 error there. Hope this helps you
