Hello Everyone,

My friend just told me that her company is really looking for Database Programmers and Database Analysts to start as soon as possible. They have offices in California and Virginia. I thought I should share with you guys. See the job description below and you can check their website as well.

Database Programmer (Mountain View, CA)

Database Programmer, with experience in software programming and relational database design to assist in designing, developing, and implementing databases in MS Access, Postgres, and Oracle for internal and external customer projects. Ongoing maintenance and enhancement of existing and newly developed systems. Assesses end-user requirements and translate into database features. Implements data models using open-source as well as vendor proprietary tools. Develops and tests appropriate data consistency, data cleaning, and data derivation programs using Java, Visual Basic, C++, PHP, PL/SQL, and PostgreSQL. Documents each system implemented; implement and maintain security for systems. Adheres to company/industry standard coding practices and SOPs and guidelines. Reviews and understand technical specifications and system documentation. Understands requirements and translate them into functional design specifications. Works independently as self-starter or take direction well as part of a team; work effectively under pressure. Full-time position.

Qualifications: BS or equivalent and >3 years relevant, proven experience in MS Access, Postgres, Oracle database programming.

Proven software programming skills using Visual Basic, Java, JSP, PHP, PL/SQL.

Proven relational database design skills.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
