I am using PHPMagic Plus> PHPReportsGenerator

I am trying to use the following statement
SELECT Notes FROM PastorsDesk order by auto desc limit 1

but i get an error

* 'Sort By','group by','limit'or functions is not allowed in the sql statement, it could be done visually in a next step!

There is no place is saw where i can specify limit 1 record .. please help!!!!

Are you using single or doube quotes.
SELECT `Notes` FROM PastorsDesk order by auto desc limit 1
