I need to create a log-in form with username and password to a MySQL database with mysql_pconnect.

I used Dreamweaver for designing. And everything was fine until Dreamweaver started messing up the log-in form.

I purchased Security Assist from WebAssist but that is generating errors so it does not work.

So: does your software allow me to generate a log-in form with the above requirements?

If it does, I will purchase your software.

PHPMagic & PHPMagic Plus are standalone applications.
PHPMagic Plus (http://www.websitedatabases.com/phpmagicplus-overview.html) may suit your requirements however it does not use mysql_pconnect.

if your software doesn/t use mysql_Pconnect, how does it connect to the MySQL database?

I already have a MySQL database. Will this software allow me to connect to the existing one or does it create a new one?

Also, I need to be able for the view to look at the data different ways -sort by last name or sort by school or some other field. I need to filter the data different ways. Does the software allow me to do that?

Take a look at the PHPMagic Trial version to see how the software works. See the help within the application. That will help you see if this application will work for your requirements. It is used to create tables and fields for new tables and generates the scripts to manage the data.
