Custom Templates

I'm making various changes to the visual design that are not a part of the editable part of the templates so I have to save a copy because the program overwrites everything each time I alter the db.

This means that any time I make a change to the database I will have to either code it in by hand or hand replace the edits.

Is there any way to replace the default design with custom design templates including changes to PHP files?

The only way I know of is using the styles feature within the app or create your own style.css file.
